It's been a long time since I made diptych pictures ... I'm never sure whether the two parts fit together - but IF they do, I think a whole new range of "harmony" can be created. There is more 'information', more explanation - duality - a unity of two.

I am currently working on several still life 'projects' - for some commissions and just for fun. I used to find still life photography some kind of boring, back when I didn't really understand that it's not just about randomly taking pictures of food or other stuff, but far more about design, advance planning and details, which actually is really exciting - I guess I grew old
PS: my brain seems like it's not properly working today ... can't think of English vocabs atm. Yay.
PPS: a collective THANK YOU for the DD! I actually couldn't believe it at first - when I checked out my profile I found all this messages about receiving a Daily Deviation... and I just didn't get it. Was kind of stunned all day! AND: I was SO amazed by all the wonderful comments and private messages, so thank you all! This really encourages me to go on and work on myself and my photography.

Tea, spring and strawberries by *Cartismandua is a beautiful diptych of a refreshing meal laid out and photographed to reflect the Spring atmosphere. The depth of field is perfect in centring on the main subject, while making the background less focused but still very interesting. (
